Caught on CCTV, two men arrested for café robbery

Mumbai: The Mumbai Police arrested two people on Tuesday for the robbery of a prominent South Mumbai eatery Cafe Churchill. The café was robbed on February 17 and the robbery was caught on the CCTV camera of the café.

The police is now investigating on the motive of the robbery.

One of the men, seen in the CCTV footage, first entered the store under the pretext of buying a pastry.

He later returned with an accomplice just as the shop was downing its shutters and threatened the cashier with a knife.

The men made away with about 24,000 rupees, part of which was the manager's salary.

Cafe Churchill is a few blocks from Cafe Leopold, one of the sites of the 26/11 attack.
