The two men who kidnapped a young student in Chennai were related to him. The boy, a student of Class 9, was released on Tuesday after his family paid a one-crore rupees ransom for him.
The police says one of the two kidnappers has an MBA degree from a UK college. The other had worked in Singapore.
The boy's father owns a mine.
The boy was kidnapped on Monday when he was on his way home from school. Two men forced the driver of his car out and then drove away with the boy. The car was found abandoned on the outskirts of Chennai.
The police has allegedly recovered the ransom paid to the kidnappers.
