Chief Minister takes to cycling to keep fit

Puducherry: This is one Chief Minister who takes to bicycling to keep himself fit.

For early risers, 59-year-old V Vaithilingam, Chief Minister of the Union Territory, cycling through the thoroughfares between 5 a.m. to 6 a.m is a familiar sight.

What is striking is that there are no security personnel or other paraphernalia that is usually associated with a VVIP as Vaithilingam, attired in khadi clothes, starts his bicycling exercise from his residence in the heart of the town.

A pedestrian said the Chief Minister bicycles regularly.
