Child dies after falling into borewell

Bijnor: A three-year-old boy died after he fell into an open borewell near Najibabad, police said.
     
It took fire services personnel more than one hour to rescue the child from the borewell and he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead, they said.
    
Babu Singh, a labourer, was repairing the tube well at Rajpura Agriculture Farms on Friday when his son Shivam, who was playing nearby, fell into the 80-feet deep, 14-inches-wide open borewell.
