When angry estate labourers and locals gathered and protested the prevention of the women's movement through the garden, the owner fired at them killing a child on the spot and wounding four others, they said.
The irate mob then set on fire two of the factories and the residence of the garden owner, officials said adding, they also attempted to prevent the fire tenders from entering the garden.
