A class 11th student today allegedly stabbed a classmate outside PES Higher Secondary School at Farmagudi, 35 km from Panaji, police said.
The victim, who was stabbed twice, is undergoing treatment.
"The minor who stabbed his classmate has surrendered before the police," said Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ponda) Sunita Sawant.
The victim has been shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital for further treatment, she added.
As per the preliminary probe, the two boys had had a fight over lighting of firecrackers during the recent Ganesh festival.
