Apparently fed up of frequent teasing by a youth, a girl student of class X committed suicide here, police said on Thursday.
Deepika was found hanging in her room at Bhuiyandih last evening, police said, adding, the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
According to a complaint lodged with the police, relatives of the victim have accused a youth for the death.
The family members had complained against the youth with the East Singhbhum district anti-teasing cell two months ago, after which the accused had fled.
However, the youth returned to the city later on and started teasing the victim again, they said.
