Coimbatore:
A college student was allegedly raped by two engineering students, who are twins, in Coimbatore. Both the accused have been arrested.
The girl, a first year Mass Communication student, had, in her complaint lodged on Friday, alleged that the two brothers had raped her on February 23 after taking her to their house at Thudiyalur in Coimbatore, police said.
The boys' family is settled in Uganda, and they were friends with the girl on Facebook. She was allegedly tricked into coming to their house where she was sedated and sexually assaulted.
A case of sexual assault has been registered. "A medical examination of the woman student has confirmed rape. We would send both boys too to be medically examined," said a police official.
According to the police, one of the boys has confessed to have also filmed the girl when she was unconscious. The investigators have confiscated the mobile phones and computers in a bid to recover any such footage.
