A girl, who failed in the Plus two examinations, has been missing from her house in the city, police said.
A letter allegedly written by her said she had expected high marks and having failed, was unwilling to face relatives, friends and the public, police said.
The 17-year-old girl said there was no point in searching for her .
Even as her parents, who attempted to convince her not to lose heart, continued to search for her, the letter was found last evening and a complaint registered at a police station by her father, a tea maker in a bakery, police said.
