Coimbatore: Authorities in Coimbatore have demolished a 'wall of shame' that denied Dalit families access to the city's main road.
This wall was allegedly built by upper caste people 20 years ago as part of a temple, encroaching government land. But Dalits say it was only a pretext to close the road.
Two years ago, a similar discriminatory wall was brought down in Madurai district.
