New Delhi:
The national capital continued to reel under intense cold wave condition on Tuesday even as the minimum temperature rose marginally to settle at seven degree Celsius.
While the minimum temperature rose from Monday's 6.5 degree Celsius, the maximum in the last 24 hours stood at 14.6 degree Celsius, six notches below normal.
The MeT office attributed the cold conditions to icy winds blowing from snow-capped mountains in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
There was shallow fog in the morning. However, there was no disruption in flight operations at the IGI airport.
The Met office said the cold wave condition will continue in the city for next couple of days. They said that minimum temperature on Wednesday is likely to hover around seven degrees, while the maximum will be around 17 degree Celsius.
