Berhampore: A college student was allegedly abducted by unidentified miscreants from Salai dam near Balugaon, about 75 km from Berhampore on Thursday, police said.
According to police, at least three miscreants came in a car and kidnapped K Ganesh Rao, a final year student of the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) in the Khallikote autonomous college, when he and three of his classmates had gone to Salia Dam on a visit on Thursday.
Police said the student had also received a threat call about 20 days ago. The caller had demanded Rs 20 lakh and threatened to kidnap him if the money was not paid.
