Madhepura, Bihar: A Congress leader in Bihar's Madhepura district on Thursday held a yagna to remove "obstacles" in the marriage of Rahul Gandhi and ensure the party's victory in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
Vishnudev Prasad Yadav, a Nagar Parishad member, said the ritual was being conducted to seek divine intervention for Gandhi, one of the most eligible bachelors in the country, with a most suitable bride as well as the party's victory in the UP assembly polls.
The yagna has generated interest among the local people with a large number of them arriving at Yadav's village to witness it.
