Jaipur:
A CRPF constable allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in Ajmer today.
"Narendra Kumar shot himself with his service SLR in a guard room at around 3.30 am. He was scheduled to go on guard duty at Gate 4 of the CRPF unit premises at 4 AM," Investigating Officer Dharmpal said.
He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead, he said.
"Narendar, a resident of Ringas town in Sikar district, was posted at Jammu and Kashmir before being transferred to Ajmer in January this year," he said, adding, that the reason behind the suicide is not clear.
The body was handed over to family members after postmortem.
