Nagpur: Two city constables including a woman were sacked for allegedly having an affair outside their respective marriages, police said on Tuesday.
The action came after the spouses of constable Dharmendra Pitale and Priti Bhiwgade lodged a police complaint about their conduct.
Invoking powers vested on him under section 311 (2) of the Constitution of India, the Commissioner of Police issued orders for termination of their services, police added.
The cops were living separately from their families, they added.
Pitale was attached to police headquarters while Bhiwgade was posted at Gittikhadan police station.
