A police sub-inspector was arrested in New Delhi for allegedly molesting a woman subordinate and showing her obscene MMS clips in a building which houses the DCP office as well as police station.
The alleged incident took place on Sunday in the building which houses the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sharad Aggarwal and Rajouri Garden police station, a senior police official said.
The woman assistant sub-inspector had gone her office on Sunday to complete some pending work and the accused SI Mukesh Chabra allegedly asked the woman personnel to meet him.
When she met him, the official said, Chabra took out his mobile phone and allegedly tried to show her some obscene MMS clips, to which she objected.
"As she objected, he allegedly molested her," the official said.
The woman ASI freed herself from Chabra and rushed downstairs and submitted a written complaint with Rajouri Garden police station, the official said.
A case was registered under sections 354 (outraging the modesty of woman) and 509 (acts intended to intrude into the privacy of woman) against him, the official said.
Chabra was arrested following investigations into the complaint, the official said.
