Mumbai: Acting on a tip-off, the Navghar police raided two bars within its jurisdiction in rural Thane. Eight bargirls who were involved in obscene acts with customers were arrested.
Later, all were released on bail after being produced in the Thane sessions court on Tuesday.
"We received information about Mehendi Bar on Navghar Road and Rupesh Bar near Bhayander railway station. We sent policemen posing as customers to verify the presence of bar girls. Then we raided both places," said Rajendra Mohite, senior inspector of Navghar police station.
