Srinagar: A CRPF jawan was killed when his service rifle went off accidentally in Jawahar Nagar locality in uptown city on Thursday, officials said.
Head Constable K C Sakia was on duty at Jawahar Nagar when his service rifle accidentally went off and a bullet from the weapon pierced his neck, they said.
Sakia, posted with 25th battalion, was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injury.
