Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh: A Dalit woman was today shot dead by three persons in the Ghiror area when she resisted an alleged molestation attempt by them, police sources said in Mainpuri.
Sunita Balmiki (37) was shot dead this afternoon by Dalbir Singh Chauhan his brothers Omvir Singh and Harbir Singh at Raimza village when she was working in the field, they said.
Sunita's husband Chotey Lal in his FIR alleged Dalbir and his brothers attempted to molest her but shot her dead when Sunita resisted and raised an alarm, police said.
