Indore:
The decomposed body of a 55-year-old businessman was found at a locked flat in a multi-storey apartment on Sunday, police said.
After a foul smell began emanating from flat number 206, the residents of Sagar Apartment in MIG area informed the police about it, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Kumar Saurabh, said.
After police broke open the lock of the flat, they found the body of P C Jhamar in a highly decomposed condition inside.
The ASP said that a rope around his neck was found, adding that initially it appears that he was strangled to death, adding that the help of a forensic science laboratory has been sought to unravel the truth behind the death.
The deceased hailed from Ratlam and used to frequent Indore in connection with finance-related and real estate business. He used to put up at the place alone, police said.
Police suspect that Jhamar's close acquaintance might be involved in the incident.
