Dehradun:
An 18-year-old girl from Delhi doing bachelor in nursing from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling fan in her hostel room, police said in Dehradun today.
The first year BSc nursing student at AIIMS was found hanged in her hostel room yesterday, police said.
No suicide note has been found from the scene of the incident, they said, adding factors which may have led the girl to take the extreme step are being probed.
Relatives of the girl, residents of Najafgarh in Delhi, arrived in Rishikesh today after being informed of the incident and have been handed over the body, police said.
