Dehradun:
Seven members of a family, including four women, received serious burn injuries when a house in Vikasnagar area in Dehradun caught fire after an LPG cylinder exploded, police said today.
The explosion, which occurred on Thursday evening, was so powerful that it damaged not only the walls of the building where it burst but also portions of an adjoining structure, they said.
Circle Officer S K Singh rushed to the spot with fire brigade personnel to bring the blaze under control.
All the injured were rushed to the Coronation Hospital from where house owner Satyapal Verma and Rashmi Verma were referred to Delhi as their condition was critical.
