Rohtak: The son of a Delhi Police sub-inspector allegedly shot dead his mother today at his house in Kheri Aasra village on Delhi-Haryana border, near Rohtak.
The accused, 32-year-old Sunil alias Bittu, son of Delhi Police Sub-Inspector Rai Singh, allegedly shot dead 55-year-old Shakuntla over a financial dispute, police said.
The accused purportedly called his father later and confessed to his crime, and has been absconding since. Police says, the victim's body, which was found lying in a pool of blood, has been sent for postmortem.
Following a complaint by Rai Singh, police have registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the accused.
