Four armed men entered the house of a Rohini resident Keshav Bansal and took away jewellery worth Rs 8 lakh.

His wife Lata Bansal, and two children Varsha, and Deepak, were present in the house at the time of the incident.

The robbers held Lata and the children at gunpoint and asked them to hand over the keys of the safe.  When Lata resisted, the robbers stabbed her in her arm and snatched the keys.

"They took away jewellery worth Rs 8 lakh and about Rs 2 lakh in cash. They held my wife at gunpoint so that she couldn't make a call for help," said Keshav Bansal.

After ransacking the house, the robbers fled from the spot. Lata called the police and the neighbours who rushed her to the nearest hospital for treatment. The police have lodged an FIR in the case.

"Prima facie it seems like somebody familiar to this family is involved in it," said a police officer.
