New Delhi:
In an incident reported on July 14, the body of a woman was found at the Japanese Park in Rohini Sector 10 in outer Delhi.
The deceased was later identified as Radha Kapoor. 32-year-old Radha was a mother of two and owned a beauty parlour and boutique in Shastri Nagar. She closed her shop on July 13 at 11.30 pm and since then had not been seen by any one.
On further investigation and inspection of her call records it was found that she had extramarital relations with Tarun Kherajwani, her former colleague, the police said.
Tarun who was absconding, was caught later and in the investigation he confessed his illicit relations with Radha. "He said that he wanted to marry her but she refused. He called her to meet him in the Japanese Park and after an argument strangulated her," said a police officer.
Tarun was a salesman at a Bata showroom in the area. Radha had strained relations with her husband because of her affair with Tarun and decided to put an end to it. But the accused kept forcing her to divorce her husband and get married to him.
Tarun used to work with Radha in a private company four years back. It was there that they developed this relationship. Tarun also revealed that he didn't want to kill her but could not take her denial. He even offered her to come with her children but she did not agree.
The police have lodged a First Information Report (FIR) under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and recovered the blood stained stone which was used in the murder.
