New Delhi:
A 27-year-old medical student allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room in Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, apparently depressed over his health conditions.
Archit Arora hailed from Roorkee in Uttarakhand, police said on Friday.
Arora, a diabetic, was found hanging in his room by his friends at around 9 pm on Thursday after they barged into his room as he did not respond to their calls.
He did not attend classes for the past couple of days and the incident came to light when his friends went to check on him. He is suspected to have been depressed at his deteriorating medical condition.
He left a suicide note in which he claimed he was taking the extreme step. He also said he loves his sister and father and that nobody except him should be held responsible for his death.
Police is waiting for his parents to arrive from Roorkee before getting the post mortem conducted.
