Shiv Murti Dwivedi aka Sex Baba was running a nationwide organised sex racket, with some models and actresses allegedly working for him. But he didn't do it on his own. There were people like Praveen Kumar by his side.
According to the police, Praveen Kumar, previously an auto-rickshaw driver, joined hands with Baba in 2008. Praveen, who was working as a pimp with the Baba, was a theatre artist and was part of several productions with reputed groups in Delhi.
According to a source, Praveen was fascinated by the character of a police officer and also played the role in one of the productions.
One of his former co-artists Sudheer said, "I am shocked to hear that an artist like him was involved in a sex racket. He was a brilliant actor who hardly came for the rehearsals, but used to deliver amazing scenes."
Praveen was a resident of the posh CR park area in south Delhi. He was reportedly the right-hand man of Baba and would bring the girls to him.
According to the police, Praveen was caught red-handed along with Dwivedi. He took Rs 3,000 as commission to supply three girls named Sima, Ashu and Riya to the decoy cops.
Dwivedi and Praveen came in two cars; Praveen was in a Honda Civic with the girls. The car was found to be registered under Praveen's name.
