New Delhi:
One person was arrested in Northwest Delhi on Friday for his alleged attempt to kill his
mother with the help of his two associates over a property dispute, police said.
According to police, 58-year-old Sitadevi was on her way to a market in Durgapuri area on Thursday when her son Sunil along with his brother-in-law and one more associate allegedly
came on a motorcycle, opened fire at her and fled.
The woman, who sustained bullet injury on her back, was rushed to a nearby hospital, he said.
"Sunil has been arrested in connection with the case," a senior police officer said.
Since last four years, a dispute was on between Sitadevi and her two sons over a double-storey house owned by her in Durgapuri area. She had also threatened to disinherit her sons, the officer said.
Search is on to nab the other two accused, he said.
