
New Delhi:
A 22-year-old fine arts student was beaten to death allegedly by three former students outside the Jamia Millia Islamia University on Tuesday, police said.
The incident took place outside the university campus in south Delhi at around 3:30 pm, a senior police official said.
Shahrukh, a first year student, had an argument with four former students who allegedly used iron rods to beat him up, the official said. Two of the attackers were expelled from the University just a week ago.
Shahrukh was badly injured and rushed to Holy Family Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Doctors said his vital organs were badly damaged in the incident.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
