New Delhi:
Some parts of the national capital region received heavy rain and lightning early Wednesday morning. Areas which received the rainfall included Laxmi Nagar, ITO, Okhla and Connaught Place.
The Met office had earlier predicted that the city may receive light showers on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, icy winds blew over the city keeping the mercury well below normal levels and making Delhiites experience another chilly day.
The weatherman attributed chilly conditions to icy winds blowing from snow-capped mountains in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
