A 35-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband on Thursday following a fight over her suspected extra-marital affair, police said.
The incident took place at Nandnagri around 1.30 am and the victim has been identified as Neena.
Raghunandan Sahay, a vegetable vendor, entered into a fight with her wife, suspecting that she has an extra-marital affair and she was going to marry the person.
"Sahay caught hold of a knife and then stabbed his wife several times. She died on the spot. He then went directly to the police station and surrendered," a senior police officer said.
As the fight broke out, their elder daughter Naina (15) tried to intervene and bring peace. She was even injured during this.
