New Delhi:
Delhi experienced the coldest day of the season on Tuesday. According to metrological department, it was also Delhi's coldest December 8 in five years.
The city experienced the maximum temperature of 22 degree Celsius (2 degree below normal) and the minimum temperature of 8 degree Celsius (down 4 degree Celsius since yesterday)
A Met department official said a slight cloud cover brought about the rise in mercury levels in the last couple of days.
"The cloud cover has gone today and that is why the minimum temperature dipped further," he said.
The Met department forecast a misty and foggy morning on Wednesday with the minimum and maximum temperatures expected to be around seven and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
During the past week, the temperature in the city has been oscillating between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius.
The season's lowest of 7.9 degree Celsius was recorded last Saturday, which was also the lowest for the month of November in the past three years.
