Dense fog enveloped the capital on Sunday delaying around 50 flights and 50 trains, even as the rest of the northern region reeled under intense cold wave.
The fog started forming around midnight and became dense in the morning, especially in the capital, disrupting flight schedules once again.
With the visibility on the domestic and international runways falling to 100 to 150 meters, around 50 flights were hit.
While five domestic arrivals and 25 domestic departures were delayed, six domestic departures were cancelled. Seven international arrivals and five international departures were also delayed.
Dense fog in the capital hit rail traffic as well. While 42 trains were delayed, 9 were cancelled.
