Dharamsala: Two women passengers were killed and 26 others injured today when a private bus fell in a ditch at Srah, about 5 km from Dharamsala.
Dharamsala police station SHO Desh Raj Chandrotiya said the deceased have been identified as - Makhan Devi and Indra Devi. All the injured were admitted to the zonal hospital at Dharamsala, and four of them with critical injury were later shifted to the Tanda Medical College Hospital.
Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh visited the injured at the Dharamsala Hospital, along with Transport Minister G S Bali and Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma.
The Chief Minister directed the administration to give every possible help to the injured and their families.
Police said the bus was on its way from Dharamsala to Kangra via Sarah when the accidents took place.
They have charged the bus driver with negligence, leading to the accident.
