Nagpur: A city-based doctor has been booked by the police for allegedly demanding Rs 50 lakh dowry before his wedding for pursuing a higher medical course.
Dr Rahul Premchand Meshram's alliance was fixed with a girl on March 11. But he, along with his family members, asked the girl's parents on May 16 for Rs 50 lakh cash for pursuing his FRCS (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons) in Singapore.
