Kolhapur: Two doctors, married to each other, have been found dead this morning at the clinic that they ran in Kolhapur, 370 km from the financial capital of Mumbai.
Uddhav Kulkarni, 65, and his wife Pradnya Kulkarni, 62, were discovered, throats slit, by neighbours who broke open the clinic's doors.
For two days, the clinic had remained shut, which worried neighbours.
The police believes that the double murder took place on Sunday, when the doctors usually took the day off. Yesterday, when the couple was not seen, those who lived near them assumed a power outage had kept them from seeing patients.
But this morning, when there was no sign of the elderly doctors, neighbours broke into the clinic which was attached to the Kulkarnis' home.
