Doctors forgot scissors in her stomach

Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh): A woman, who was left suffering after doctors allegedly forgot a small scissor in
her stomach during a surgery, has been admitted to the government general hospital in Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh following complaints of severe stomach ache.

V Annapurna of I Polavaram Mandal, who underwent a family planning operation nearly seven years ago at the GGH Kakinada was admitted there when doctors, who performed the operation successfully then sent her back home without removing a small scissor from her body.

According to her family, she has suffering from stomach pain since then but recently it aggravated following which doctors found the instrument in her stomach on diagnosis.

Doctors attending on her said that the operation will be performed within three to four days and said there were no complications.
     
"We are taking all necessary steps to perform an operation on Annapurana," they added.
