Sunil Kumar, a South Delhi-based businessman, paid an exorbitant sum for not getting his domestic servant verified.
On Sunday, he had gone to a party along with other family members, leaving the house completely to Kishore.
When Kumar returned home, he found it ransacked and a bag containing Rs 1 crore cash missing.
"Kishore had been working at Sunil's house for the last five years. Sunil had not got his police verification done. Kishore is a native of Unnao in Madhya Pradesh," said a senior police official.
