New Delhi:
Heavy rains lashed the national capital on Saturday morning resulting in traffic snarls in many
areas due to water logging.
Many parts of the city including Greater Kailash- 1 were completely inundated.
The showers led to traffic jams on the BRT corridor, Sheikh Sarai, Chirag Delhi, Anzal Plaza, Siri Fort, Mehrauli, Lajpat Nagar, Raja Garden, Ashram and Mongolpuri among other
localities.
The rains also uprooted trees in many areas.
The minimum temperature recorded was 27.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
So far, the city has received a total 242.2 mm of rains after the monsoon touched the capital on July 5.
