E-mail trouble for London-based Indian

Indore: An e-mail sent from her account by the paramour of her husband to the British Visa Agency has prevented a woman from going to London to be with her engineer husband, police said on Wednesday.

Interestingly, the e-mail was sent by Pune-based Beejal Rathore (27) from Prachi Jain's account after the address and the password were provided by Jain's husband Mihir Mehta, DSP Jitendra Singh told reporters.

He said Mehta was having an affair with Rathore who has allegedly admitted to police that the London-based engineer provided her with the address and the password of Jain's e-mail account.

In the e-mail, Rathore posing as Jain wrote to the British Visa Agency saying her father was forcibly sending her to London against her wishes, following which the agency cancelled her visa, Singh said.

Mehta got married to Jain about nine months back, police said.

A case will be registered against Mehta in this regard under relevant sections of the IT Act and would be summoned for probe from London in the matter, the DSP added.
