Eight persons of a family sustained burn injuries today at Duwari village in the district in an acid attack allegedly by a neighbour, police said.
There was an ongoing dispute between Soni and Chanpuria families. Construction of a house by Sonis was the cause, said Amaanganj Police Station In-charge, Himanshu Hardwivedi.
Today, when Chanpurias stopped the Sonis from carrying on the construction, members of the Soni family allegedly got enraged and threw acid.
Eight members of Chanpuria family sustained burn injuries in the attack, police said.
The injured were taken to the Amaanganj civil hospital for treatment and seven of them were discharged after first-aid. One Krishna Pratap, who was in serious condition, was taken to Jabalpur.
No arrests have been made so far, as probe was under way, police said.
