An assistant engineer of the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) allegedly
committed suicide at his residence here, police said on Thursday.
The 49-year-old Awadhesh Kumar Gupta was found hanging from the ceiling yesterday, they said, adding he was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Awadhesh was alone in the house when he took the extreme step as his wife Kiran had gone to Jaunpur to attend a marriage, they said.
