Lalru, Punjab: A 22-year-old computer engineering student was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the bathroom of his college here on Wednesday evening, police said.
The student, Anup Sehgal, was a resident of Ambala city of Haryana. He was a final year engineering student of Swami Parmanand Engineering College in Mohali district, 15 kilometres from Chandigarh.
"Anup was taking an exam in the college this (Wednesday) afternoon. During the exam he went to the bathroom but did not come back. The sanitary supervisor of the college found him lying unconscious inside," said a police official here.
"He was immediately taken to the hospital but was declared brought dead. We have sent the body for post-mortem and are waiting for the report," the official added.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the death.
