Bijnor:
A former student's union leader of a college in Bijnor allegedly attacked a professor with an unlicensed pistol injuring him seriously, police said on Tuesday.
Alok Shukla, who was the ex-president of Vardhman Degree College Student's Union, attacked the professor of the college Narendra Singh yesterday, Police Inspector Incharge of Kotwali Suresh Singh Chauhan said.
Singh, who sustained injuries on his face was rushed to the District Hospital, he added.
The principal of the college, G R Gupta, in a police complaint against Alok alleged that despite being expelled from the college six years ago, he frequently visited the campus and threatened the teachers and the students here.
Police has launched a manhunt to nab the accused even as the reason for the attack is not known.
