Vadodara:
The son of former Union Minister and Congress leader Naran Rathwa was arrested by Railway Police on Monday for allegedly trying to attack a constable in Vadodara.
"Sangramsinh Rathwa tried to attack a constable with a sharp-edged weapon. He was enraged over police taking his friend into custody over cornering of seats in a local train," Inspector B M Tank said.
His friend was one of the 10 persons taken into custody for allegedly illegally cornering seats in a train, Tank said. Sangramsinh threatened constable Arvindbhai if the latter did not release his friend from custody, he said.
When he started abusing and threatening the constable, other police staff on duty arrested him, Tank added.
