Bhabua:
A farmer has been set ablaze by members of a particular caste over a land dispute in Kaimur district, police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the farmer, Bhanu Dubey, was overseeing the day-to-day irrigation work in his field in Sapnitia village, Deputy Superintendent of police Sanjay Kumar said.
Dubey was caught hold by some members of a particular caste who tied him to a cot and set afire, killing him on the spot, Kumar said.
He said a large posse of policemen, led by Superintendent of police P K Srivastava, was camping at the site.
