Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh): A farmer was injured after being attacked by a tiger in the Kishanpur Sanctuary forest area in Khanjanpur village.
Inder had entered the sanctuary on Monday to collect firewood when the big cat attacked him. The farmer raised an alarm following which locals rushed to his rescue, forest department officials said on Monday.
The farmer sustained injuries on his head, face and chest and was rushed to hospital for treatment, they added.
