Phagwara (Punjab):
A man was arrested for allegedly raping his teenage daughter in Bhagana village in Phagwara, police said on Wednesday.
Shamsher Singh was arrested last night after a case under section 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC was registered against him for repeatedly raping his daughter, Station House Officer (SHO) Yogesh Kumar Sharma said.
Singh was remanded to judicial custody
In her complaint, the girl alleged that her father had raped her for the first time three years ago when she was a class ninth student.
He then repeatedly raped her till she eventually fed up and reported the matter to the police.
The girl was medically examined at a local hospital last night.
