Rajahmundry, Anndhra Pradesh: A man murdered his son in Andhra's Rajahmundry on Thursday for allegedly attempting to rape his own sister, a widow, in an inebriated condition, police said.
Chandasekhar (30), a habitual drinker, used to beat his sister everyday in an inebriated condition, they said.
Today as well, Chandasekhar came home drunk and beat his sister. He then attempted to rape her. His father, who was home at that time, put a rope around Chandasekhar's neck in an attempt to dissuade his son from raping his daughter, they said.
However, this attempt resulted into Chandasekhar's death, police said. The name of the accused could not be known.
Police suspect involvement of some other accused as well in the incident.
