Bhiwani (Haryana): A two-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by her father in Sohasra village in the district is critical, police said on Wednesday.
Loharu police station in charge Ashok Kumar said the accused, Sajjan Kumar, had taken his minor daughter out two days ago on the pretext of visiting the market and ran away after leaving her bleeding at home a few minutes later.
The infant has been admitted to a hospital, where her condition is said to be critical, police said.
The victim's mother lodged a complaint against her husband, who was then arrested.
A case has been registered against the girl's father under various sections of the IPC including 376 (rape), police added.
